Pan Valve Milling Machine
The milling machine of the steel pan superior valve was developed to guarantee the security and to speed up the process of ingot-mold valve changing that demands at least two operators in risky areas compromising the set alignment, besides demanding approximately 40 minutes.
The special tool has a steel body in the old valve shape thus avoiding damages on the base for the new application, reducing operational costs and increasing the security of the system.
The inserts developed make it possible milling up to 7000 C º , decreasing significantly cooling time and thermal shock of the refractory. Consequently, the estimated time for the operation, demanding one man only, goes down to 10 minutes.
