Model B87BS Pile Driver heavy hammer is designed for high performance with low air consumption and little maintenance. It is stoutly built and eliminates most back lashing, allowing the operator to work for long periods of time with minimum fatigue.

Activating Valve - Trigger type, permits part side opening with softer activating for operation start. Its position allows simple disassembly with just the removal of two side screws and the upper head. Its deepened side does not suffer premature deterioration.

The absence of pressure between the upper head and the cylinder , does not allow any leakage between parts. With air coming into the cylinder, the operator will always have a non-heated handling surface.

Exhaustion - Directs the air to the side , away from the operator.

Piston - Revertible , and due to its one diameter and lubrication grooves, it provides lower costs.

Coupling rod nuts - self-locking, protects the thread from damage .

Lubrication - constant between the lower head and the pointer.

Features:

  • Simple and safe project, with few moving parts, requiring little maintenance.
  • The pneumatic chamber is responsible for a pneumatic “mattress” that absorbs piston impact in its downward movement, not allowing the shock of the piston with the lower part of the equipment, avoiding premature deterioration of the piston guide.
  • Side protection over air escape, does not permit the entrance of foreign elements inside the equipment and reduces significantly noise level during operation.
  • BJ 400 has plain design , and its external structure presents threaded orifices , that facilitate its installation in several equipments.
  • Its valve system makes operation easier, independently from piston position.
  • Air Service supplies the BJ400 equipped with shoes and sides that guide most profiles of metal stakes

  1. Symmetric upper head : the air inlet can be mounted on any desired side. Besides, the air tube can be modified in 90o without head change because of the extra plugged orifice.
  2. Valve system: allows immediate operation start , independently of piston position.
  3. Admission nipple: connected to a 1 inch nut.
  4. Air escape protection : avoids the intake of foreign particles into the air escape and also reduces the noise level emitted by the equipment.
  5. Cylinder: rectangular and compact, uses very little side space.
  6. Compression chamber: absorbs the piston impact in its downward movement , not allowing the piston to shock against the lower part of the equipment , avoiding premature deterioration of the piston guide.
  7. Piston : long and thin , produces a shockwave more favorable to the pile driver.
  8. Sides: working as guides and holders of the impact shoes .
  9. Shoe: Standard version . Air Service can provide special drawings for different costumer needs.
